How much does it cost to get into the Commons?

The Commons is a free event, with no entry charge.

What are the opening hours?

Where’s the best place to park? 

There is limited parking available at Acton Park and Commonwealth Park. There are a variety of other parking choices available to visitors that are a walking distance from The Commons. Find our detailed parking map here.


I have limited mobility, where’s the best place for me to Park?

Free parking for people with limited mobility is available off Regatta Point Place (access off Commonwealth Ave). Parking is limited and vehicles must display an authorized disability permit at all times.


Do I need to bring cash?

No, the Commons is a completely cash free event. This means you must have a card to make purchases. This can be eftpos and most credit cards except AMEX and Diners.


WHAT DOES CASHLESS MEAN?

Cashless means that we won’t be taking any cash for purchases at the event. This means you have to have a credit or eftpos card to make a purchase for any food, drinks or when hiring chairs. AMEX and Diners do not work at this time.


Will there be seating available? 

All the seating! We have a range of seating options at The Commons, including a ton of picnic tables for you to use. There is also seating available in the pop up bars and restaurants, plus an open grass areas for those who wish to bring along a picnic blanket.

You can also hire a selection of deck chairs to use as well.


Who can come to The Commons?

Everyone is welcome at The Commons Street Feast.

If you plan to have a drink you will need to bring your ID along as anyone who wishes to purchase alcohol will be asked for proof of age.


Is The Commons a good place to bring my kids?

Most definitely. We have a selection of kids activities available during the day on the weekends, including performers, face painters and more.


What are The Butlers?

The Butlers are servers for hire available exclusively at The Commons. You can find more about them here


Can I BYO to The Commons?

No you cannot. We are fully licensed with over 4 different bar areas and an array of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks to choose from. You can find out more about them here


I have specific dietary requirements – will there be food I can eat at The Commons?

We’ve created this super handy search tool to identify what vendors have Vegetarian and Gluten Free options at The Commons. Head to the food page here to filter to see the list in full

There will also be sample menu’s from each vendor being posted on our website in the lead up to the season opening, which you can also reference.

Please be aware that the chefs may change their menu’s on the day depending on what fresh foods is available that day. The filtering system should only be used as a guide. Always make sure you discuss any allergies or dietary requirements as you order your food at The Commons.

Are First Aid services available at The Commons? 

There is a First Aid time on site at The Commons at all times. In the case of an emergency or for first aid, please notify a staff or security member, or go directly to the First Aid tent
