The Commons Street Feast is located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Burley Griffin in Commonwealth Park, just minutes from Canberra’s CBD.

The Commons is an easy walk from the city centre and will take you around fifteen minutes to get there on foot, and perhaps a little longer depending on your feasting ability! You can hitch a ride with Transport Canberra bus services from the city and be sinking back a burger within ten minutes at Commonwealth Park.

There are limited parking spaces at the venue, with a lot more spots available across the footbridge in the city.

There’s limited parking at Westside, Acton Park and Commonwealth Park, but there are a range of other car parks available that are a walking distance from The Commons. These include the Parliamentary Triangle, London Circuit, Canberra Centre, National Convention Centre and Canberra Institute of Technology car parks.

You can see the locations of each of these below in our Google Map, along with the walking routes.

Where parking fees do apply, they can be paid using the Parkmobile app, credit cards or coins.

Please ensure you use allocated legal parking spaces when coming to The Commons, we don’t want your night ruined by a pesky parking ticket.

Parking for people with limited mobility is available off Regatta Point Place (access off Commonwealth Ave). Spaces are limited and vehicles must display an authorized disability permit at all times.

The best way you can get to The Commons is via Transport Canberra bus. From Platform 1 in the Civic Bus Station, it’s just a short bus ride to Commonwealth Park. You can catch the Blue Rapid, which departs every 5-8 minutes from 7am to 7pm and every 15 minutes in the evening running from Tuggeranong, Woden, City and Belconnen.

Jump off at stops 8888 & 8889 on Commonwealth Avenue to access The Commons (you can see these on the above map).

Make sure you plan ahead and check the Transport Canberra timetables prior to travelling as The Commons will run later than bus services on Sunday’s.
