The Commons runs from the 30 November to 10 December 2017.

How much does it cost to get into the Commons?

Nought, nada, nothing! The Commons is a free event, with free entry and entertainment. We are 100% tap & go, so make sure you bring your debit or credit card.


What food will be at The Commons?

So much food, you’ll be overwhelmed! There are over twenty food trucks so you’ll be spoilt for choice. Check out the full list here.


Where’s the best place to park? 

There is limited parking available at Acton Park and Commonwealth Park. There are a variety of other car parks available to visitors that are a walking distance from The Commons. Find our detailed parking map here.


I have limited mobility, where’s the best place for me to Park?

Free parking for people with limited mobility is available off Regatta Point Place (access from Commonwealth Ave). Parking is limited and vehicles must display an authorized disability permit at all times.


Do I need to bring cash?

The Commons is a free event and is open to all ages, with licensed 18+ bar areas on site and is a tap & go event. Make life easy and bring your debit card, credit card, Android or iPhone (with mobile wallet enabled) and get ready to tap & go. Every food truck and bar will only take payment with a Visa, Mastercard, AMEX debit or credit cards with tap & go functionality, or your NFC enabled smart phone. Cash will not be accepted at The Commons.


WHAT DOES CASHLESS MEAN?

Cashless means that we won’t be taking any cash for purchases at the event. All the food trucks and bars only take payment with a Visa, Mastercard, AMEX debit or credit cards with tap & go functionality, or your NFC-enabled smart phone.


Will there be seating available? 

All the seating! We have a range of seating options at The Commons, including a tonne of picnic tables for you to use. There is also seating available in the pop-up bars and restaurants, plus an open grass areas for those who wish to bring along a picnic blanket.

You can also hire a selection of deck chairs to use.


Who can come to The Commons?

Everyone is welcome at The Commons Street Feast! If you plan to have a drink or two, you will need to bring your ID.


Is The Commons a good place to bring my kids?

Yes! The Commons will have a range of kids activities available during the day on the weekends, including performers, face painting and a visit by a very special guest (hint – he dresses in red, has a long white beard and a cheery ‘tude).


can i bring my dog?

The Commons will be hosting a Dogs Day Out on Sunday 10th December, stay tuned for more details.


What are The Butlers?

The Butlers are servers for hire available exclusively at The Commons. You can find more about them here.


Can I BYO to The Commons?

We aren’t BYO, but are fully licensed with over 4 different bar areas and an array of delicious alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. You can find out more about them here.


I have specific dietary requirements – will there be food I can eat at The Commons?

Definitely! We have specifically sought-out food trucks that cater to all the weird and wonderful dietary requirements out there. These have been detailed here in this super handy tool. If this still doesn’t answer your question or have further queries, feel free to contact us here.

Please be aware that the chefs may change menus daily, depending on what produce is available. The tools should only be used as a guide and make sure you discuss any allergies or dietary requirements as you order food.

While every attempt is made to attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions, The Commons Street Feast will not assume liability for adverse reactions to food consumed or items that patrons may come in contact with while at The Commons.


Are First Aid services available at The Commons? 

First aid will be onsite at The Commons throughout the duration of the event. In case of an emergency or for first aid assistance, please notify a staff or security member, or head directly to the first aid tent.


I am a vendor and would like to come to the Commons, how can I do this? 

If you are a food or market vendor and wish to participate at The Commons, please contact our catering manager here. Please note most spots have been filled.


Can I hold a function at The Commons?
